Cool idea, Eleanor. There's the obvious, like collecting objects with cool curves, and tracing them onto the canvas. But have you investigated bendable rulers? Those can be really helpful. Anyway, I wish you the best of success with your project.

Hi Grant,
Sure enjoy your paintings! I'm a grade 7/8 art teacher, and am starting a unit on hard edge painting. Will be fun, 'cause we'll be using real stretched canvases. :) Would you have any tips for me on teaching the kids how to do their curved lines? I want to encourage them to do curves as well as straight lines. Any help would be appreciated.

Oh wow. Thanks for tip about Stéphane Dafflon-- amazing stuff, as is your recent work. I'm tempted to buy myself a gift from your shop.

Don't know if you got the California Hard-Edge painting book yet but we sent it out on 12/13. Enjoy and Happy Holidays!
